In liposomal vitamin C, the vitamin is protected externally by a double layer of phospholipids, ensuring maximum absorption. The advantage of liposomal technology is that the phospholipid shell (sunflower lecithin) protects the water-soluble active ingredient, which is the vitamin C itself.
